The World Management Survey project started in 2002 as a way to see if one could “measure one of the unmeasurable” parts of the production function residual, or total factor productivity. More than a decade later, the small project has grown substantially and we look forward to many more decades. Our mission is to build a high-quality, systematic dataset to be used by researchers worldwide in digging deeper into the black box of productivity across industries and countries.
